Allisyn is one of the stars from the popular pageant TV show "Kim of Queens" and she is a well-known successful pageant coach. Allisyn says she likes pageants because it gives girls self-esteem. It helps us to better ourselves and feel comfortable in front of people. Pageants help girls communicate and gain self-confidence.
When asked why she likes being a pageant coach, Allisyn said "It is rewarding because I like to coach girls and see their growth. It is great to see young girls growing." She thinks that the hardest thing for a girl to learn about pageants is how to connect with the judges. How we connect with the judges is typically through the interview process. The interview is the hardest part because we have to talk to people. Allisyn said that the interview is her favorite thing to coach.
When I asked her what is the best advice she has ever given her girls, she said "you are going to walk off the stage and be a winner anyway. Being on the stage in front of people is a huge accomplishment". One of the biggest benefits of being a pageant girl is increased self confidence and being able to get in front of people. Pageant coaches like Allisyn Hardee play a huge role in our success.
