Daisy had the opportunity to interview pageant director Brandi Lowe and get an inside look at this fundraising pageant.
The Miss Snowflake Pageant is a pageant with a cause. The money raised from this pageant goes to help the Beta Club at New Hope Elementary School. Each year the Beta Club takes an educational trip. This years trip is planned for Washington, DC.

Four years ago, Brandi recalls the Beta Club needing a way to raise money. At that time, Brandi's daughter Caroline was attending New Hope Elementary and a member of the Beta Club. Knowing that Caroline competed in pageants, the Beta Club leader approached Brandi about starting a fundraising pageant.

What does the future hold for the Miss Snowflake Pageant? Brandi would love to see the pageant grow so that more students in the Beta Club have the opportunity to attend the educational trips each year. Brandi pointed out that the Beta Club is about academic achievement, character, leadership and service.

This pageant is very special to Daisy. Two years ago, the Miss Snowflake pageant was the very first pageant Daisy competed in. Ne rv ous and scared, Da isy came close to backing out. Upon arrival, Brandi had older pageant girls helping the girls practice on stage. This was wonderful, especially since she had never competed before.

Daisy glowed. Because of the practice with the older girls, she knew how to walk. She looked like a little angel. That night started our love for competing in pageants. She won most photogenic and the title of 2014 Supreme Miss Winter Wonderland (0-9).
